"And truly you have come unto Us alone (without wealth, companions or anything else) as We created you the first time, You have left behind you all that which We had bestowed on you, We see not with you your intercessors whom you claimed to be partners with Allaah, Now all relations between you and them have been cut off, and all that you used to claim has vanished from you." Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "(Religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious scholars) ignorance (in religion) and afflictions will appear; and Harj will increase." It was asked, "What is Harj, O Allah's Apostle?" He replied by beckoning with his hand indicating "killing." (Fateh-al-Bari Page 192, Vol. 1) [The Book of Knowledge Volume 1, Book 3, Hadeeth 85]
