"And he who finds not (the money for freeing a slave) must fast two successive months before they both touch each other, And for him who is unable to do so, he should feed sixty of Miskeen (poor), That is in order that you may have perfect Faith in Allaah and His Messenger, These are the limits set by Allaah, And for disbelievers, there is a painful torment." [Al-Mujaadilah (58):4]

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will taste the sweetness of faith:- The one to whom Allah and His Apostle become dearer than anything else.
- Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
- Who hates to revert to disbelief (Atheism) after Allah has brought (saved) him out from it, as he hates to be thrown in fire."
