  • "And Maryam (Mary), the daughter of 'Imraan who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Rooh [i.e, Jibrael (Gabriel)], and she testified to the truth of the Words of her Lord [i.e, believed in the Words of Allaah: "Be!" and he was; that is 'Eesaa (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary); as a Messenger of Allaah], and (also believed in) His Scriptures, and she was of the Qanitin (i.e, obedient to Allaah)." [At-Tahreem (66):12]

  • Narrated 'Aa'ishah:

    Whenever Allah's Apostle ordered the Muslims to do something, he used to order them deeds which were easy for them to do, (according to their strength endurance). They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins." So Allah's Apostle became angry and it was apparent on his face. He said, "I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you do." [The Book of Faith Volume 1, Book 2, Hadeeth 19]
