  • "O Prophet (sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam)! When you divorce women, divorce them at their 'Iddah (prescribed periods), and count (accurately) their 'Iddah (periods ), And fear Allaah your Lord (O Muslims), and turn them not out of their (husband's) homes, nor shall they (themselves) leave, except in case they are guilty of some open illegal sexual intercourse, And those are the set limits of Allaah, And whosoever transgresses the set limits of Allaah, then indeed he has wronged himself, You (the one who divorces his wife) know not, it may be that Allaah will afterward bring some new thing to pass (i.e, to return her back to you if that was the first or second divorce)." • Narrated Abu Wail:

'Abdullah used to give a religious talk to the people on every Thursday. Once a man said, "O Aba 'Abdur-Rahman! (By Allah) I wish if you could preach us daily." He replied, "The only thing which prevents me from doing so, is that I hate to bore you, and no doubt I take care of you in preaching by selecting a suitable time just as the Prophet used to do with us, for fear of making us bored."
