Soorah Al-Maa'oon (The Small Kindnesses)

In the Name of Allaah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
1.  Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?
2.  That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly), [1]
3.  And urges not the feeding of Al-Miskeen (the poor), [2]
4.  So woe unto those performers of Salaat (prayers) (hypocrites),
5.  Those who delay their Salaat (prayer) from their stated fixed times,
6.  Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),
7.  And withhold Al-Maa'oon (small kindnesses e.g. salt, sugar, water, etc.).

[1] (107):2 Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd (radi-Allaahu 'anhu):
The Prophet (sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this," putting his index and middle fingers together. [Saheeh Al-Bukharee, Vol. 8, Hadeeth No. 34]
[2] (107):3 Narrated Aboo Hurairah (radi-Allaahu 'anhu):
The Prophet (sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said, "The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a Mujaahid (fighter) who fights for Allaah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all night and fasts all day." [Saheeh Al-Bukharee, Vol. 7, Hadeeth No. 265]
