"O you who believe! Verily, there are many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder (them) from the Way of Allaah (i.e, Allaah's Religion of Islaamic Monotheism), And those who hoard up gold and silver [Al-Kanz: the money, the Zakaat of which has not been paid], and spend it not in the Way of Allaah, -announce unto them a painful torment." [At-Taubah (9):34]

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:- The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
- Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake.
- Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."
