  • "You (O Muhammad sal-Allaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) can postpone (the turn of) whom you will of them (your wives), and you may receive whom you will, And whomsoever you desire of those whom you have set aside (her turn temporarily), it is no sin on you (to receive her again), that is better; that they may be comforted and not grieved, and may all be pleased with what you give them, Allaah knows what is in your hearts, And Allaah is Ever All-Knowing, Most Forbearing."   • Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:

    Allah's Apostle was the most generous of all the people, and he used to reach the peak in generosity in the month of Ramadan when Gabriel met him. Gabriel used to meet him every night of Ramadan to teach him the Qur'an. Allah's Apostle was the most generous person, even more generous than the strong uncontrollable wind (in readiness and haste to do charitable deeds).
